London Mini Marathon 2012

Richmond were the London Mini Marathon Overall London Borough Champions in 2010, 2011 and are keen to retain this title in 2012.

If you are aged between 11 and 17 years, live or go to school in the borough and would like to take part in the Mini London Marathon along part of the London Marathon course then you can apply to be part of our team.

How to apply

1. Register to complete a parkrun on the parkrun website, no later than 6.00pm on the Friday before you would like to run
2. Complete a 5k parkrun event at Bushy Park, Teddington* between 7 January and 11 February 2012
3. Complete the online registration form by Sunday 12 February 2012
4. The Sports Development Team will be selecting the eight fastest male and female athlete in each age category to represent Richmond on 22 April 2012. We will contact qualifying athletes by email after 12 February 2012.

Age categories for 2012

• Under 13 - must be born on or after 1 September 1998 and before 22 April 2001 (must be aged 11 years on 22 April 2012)
• Under 15 - must be born on or after 1 September 1996 and before 31 August 1998
• Under 17 - must be born on or after 1 September 1994 and before 31 August 1996

*Please note: There are three parkruns in the borough, Bushy Park Richmond Park and Old Deer Park. Events take place every Saturday at 9am. You may complete any of these runs but be aware that Bushy Park is the flatest surface; therefore you should achieve your fastest time there.
