Primary School Tag Rugby

Pupils from 28 of the boroughs primary schools competed in the Competitive Edge Tag Rugby Tournament on 18 November 2011.

The schools were organised into groups for the morning session, before being placed in either the cup or plate competitions for the afternoon. The top 12 placed schools from the morning games qualified for the cup competition. In two close semi-finals Stanley took on Trafalgar, while Chase Bridge played St Marys and St Peters. Trafalgar and Chase Bridge met in the final and after a great game, Chase Bridge were crowned Tag Rugby champions 2011.  

The remainder of schools excelled in the plate competition. In the semi finals played St Edmunds played Barnes and Heathfield played Kew RIverside. After two closely fought semi final matches Heathfield met Barnes in the final. Both teams played well with Heathfield securing a win in a close match.
