Boys Football Festival
11 February 2011
Pupils from 30 of the boroughs primary schools competed in the Competitive Edge Boy’s Football Festival on Friday 11 February 2011 at NPL in Teddington.
The schools were organised into six groups for the morning session, before being placed into the cup or plate competitions for the afternoon. The top 14 teams qualified for the cup competition. In the semi-finals Collis took on Trafalgar while St Edmunds played Sheen Mount. The standard of play was outstanding and an exciting final saw Collis beat Sheen Mount to become 2011 champions.
The remaining 16 schools excelled in the plate competition. In the semi-final’s East Sheen took on Hampton Juniors while St Stephens played St Stephens. A very exciting final between 2010 winners East Sheen and St Stephens saw St Stephens take the plate trophy.
