Street trees
Trees growing in the footway or verges of adopted roads and streets in the Borough are maintained by Richmond Council in a ten year partnership contract with Veolia Environmental Services.
Please contact the Trees Team if:
- A tree growing in the highway verge or footway is obscuring a road sign or street light, blocking visibility in the road,
- You have any concerns regarding the safety of street trees
- If your enquiry is an emergency and you need to contact someone outside normal office hours telephone CARELINE 0845 600713
- If you are concerned about a tree damaging the footway please contact Highways Support Team (telephone 0845 612 2660).
- Or for garden trees, shrubs or hedges growing in private land and obstructing footways or public rights of way (including public footpaths and bridleways) contact the Highways Support Team (telephone 0845 612 2660).
