Groupthing
Groupthing is an online community around words and creativity for 13 - 18 year olds. You can set up groups, meet new friends and post your own creative work. Good things will happen.
Groupthing is run by the reading agency and is absolutely free.

Getting started on computers for children
Individual computer tuition available at Richmond Reference Library. Free children's sessions on basic computer skills and homework help websites. Available on Wednesdays at 4pm from 22 April to 17 July 2009.

2009 CILIP Carnegie and Kate Greenaway awards
The winners of the 2009 awards have now been announced! The winner of the CILIP Carnegie Medal is Bog Child by Siobhan Dowd, and the winner of the CILIP Kate Greenaway Medal is Harris Finds His Feet by Catherine Rayner.
The Carnegie Medal is awarded by children's librarians for an outstanding book for children and young people, and the Kate Greenaway Medal is awarded for an outstanding book in terms of illustration for children and young people.

Chatterbooks groups in Richmond upon Thames
Chatterbooks reading groups currently meet in seven of our libraries to chat about books and have fun. If you would like reading and are in Year 4 or 5, find out if there's a Chatterbooks group near you.
