Reference Library Facilities
Study room and reading area
The reference library has a quiet study area with seating for over 35 people. Laptops are permitted and there are a limited number power points throughout the Study room.
There is more seating in the Reference Library for people to read newspapers and periodicals.
Computer access and training
- 19 Computers available for up to two hours a day.
- Microsoft Office and Internet access on all computers
- Black and White Printing
- Colour Printing
- Scanner
- CD Burner on all computers
Computer access is free but there are charges for printing, photocopying and sale of floppy disks and CDs.
IT taster sessions
If you're new to computers or want to learn more about a specific subject the library provides one hour taster sessions, topics include:
- Introduction to the Internet
- Learning to use a mouse
- Using Excel and Word
- CD Burning
- Scanning
The reference Library holds free taster sessions on the first Friday of the month as well as prebooked sessions during the week. If you would like to know more about these taster sessions and book an appointment, please contact the Library.
The reference library is a UK Online Centre. The computers at the library are available for anyone who is studying a course.
