Finding information on art

The Reference Library has acquired various books over the years that can be of use in enquiries about art. Some people require information on particular artists,usually major,or at least well-known; others are investigating specific styles and movements that involve various people.

Other enquirers own, or have seen, a painting that they admire and they want to find out anything at all about the artist. A sample selection of categories and examples that may assist in enquiries is listed here.
