Article request service for students and researchers

Access articles from the British Library collections.

You can order photocopies of periodical articles and book extracts for private research or study. The Reference Library will request these on your behalf from the British Library or their back-up libraries.

• The British Library holds over 150 million items in its collection including a copy of every publication produced in the UK and Ireland.
• The British Library operates the world’s largest document delivery service providing millions of items a year from its own collections and those of major UK institutions.

Using this service is considerably cheaper than ordering directly from the British Library. Our charge is only £2.50 per article (concessionary rate: £1.25) + 10p per A4 page.

Please make your request at any library in the borough. Unfortunately for copyright reasons we can only accept requests in person.
