e-audio Conditions of Service
As a Richmond Libraries' e-audio service user, you agree to the following Conditions of Service:
- You may borrow one MP3 player at any one time, each holding a single unabridged talking book from our NetLibrary subscription.
- The MP3 players can take up to 512 MB of spoken word. This should accommodate nearly all our unabridged talking books, but there can be exceptions.
- We have sufficient MP3 players to cope with the anticipated demand. Should this be exceeded we will give priority to visually impaired and housebound users.
- The MP3 player and all the accessories delivered to you through your local branch will be issued to your library card as a single item for three weeks.
- You will take good care of the equipment and make sure it is kept in a safe place whenever you are not using it.
- You will return the MP3 player in the condition it was issued to you, together with all the accessories loaned to you i.e. batteries (AAA rechargeable batteries plus any extra batteries provided), a user guide and any additional accessories requested.
- You will not download any additional files into the MP3 player or modify the equipment and accessories loaned to you in any way
- MP3 players are not renewable so you will have to put another request through if you wish to borrow the title(s) again after the three week period
- As with any other library materials, fines will apply for MP3 players returned late
- You may be liable to pay replacement costs for any lost, damaged or non-returned MP3 players and/or accessories
