How do I view the rooms and facilities?
It is advisable to make an appointment with the premises officers. They can plan a date to show you all the rooms and discuss your requirements.

How much is the catering?
We devise a quotation inclusive of food, staffing and equipment. We will try to work within your budget.
What are the arrangements concerning drinks
Normally we offer drinks on consumption at very reasonable prices. For weddings we allow the toast drink to be brought in and no corkage made. We also offer licensed bars. Current prices are listed bar tariff page.
What food is available?
We have a variety of menus which you can look at on our sample menu page. All our food is freshly prepared, sufficient quantity and attractively presented.
Can I use an outside caterer?
Yes, but be aware of the limited kitchen facilities and additional room hire costs which may be added. It is advisable to obtain at least two quotations. Catering Services will draw from their experience of past events and offer frank and honest advice.
Is there a deposit?
You pay a deposit for the room hire. There is no deposit for the catering. We generally keep in contact before the event and plan a final meeting 2/3 weeks before the day. You will receive an invoice a month after the event.
How many staff will be there on duty?
Catering services will quote the number of staff involved at your event. We use regular professional staff, familiar with York House in all areas of service.
What about room decoration, flowers, cakes etc?
Catering Services have compiled a factsheet with local suppliers who are familiar with York House. We encourage clients to view the rooms when they are set up for a function which provides ideas and suggestions.
