In Arcadia 13 July - 3 September

Since classical antiquity artists, writers and poets have been attracted to notions of 'Arcadia' - an idyllic, utopian garden paradise.

Curated by artist Jill Rock, this exhibition synthesises the visual arts, performance, dance, music and poetry. An international gathering of artists pay homage and interpret this enduring theme.

George Edwards: New York 1960 7 September - 1 October

Photo from George Edwards  exhibition

Local photographer Edwards only recently unearthed the negatives of these unprinted views, taken in 1960 when he documented the British exhibition in New York. These naturalistic yet stylish shots make for a fascinating glimpse of social history.
