Heinz Henghes Sculptor (1906-1975) - 2 September to 22 October 2006
Henghes perceived sculpture as an expression of sensuality, using it to explore 'Man in Nature and Nature in Man'. He lived and worked in America, France, Italy and England , exhibiting widely.
This exhibition brings together finely polished marble sculptures, stone and bronze works, sketches and photographs - principally from Henghes' later years.
Twinings in Twickenham - 6 May to 27 August
Marking the tercentenary of the internationally renowned Twinings Tea Company, the exhibition delves into the history, industry and ceremony of tea and memebers of the Twickenham-based family including Elizabeth (1805-1889), philnathropist and renowned botanical illustrator. Works from the Borough Art Collection hang alongside loans from national museums, private collections and the Tea Time community project
Snapping Little Britain - 18 March to 30 April
This quirky photography open exhibition peeps behind the net curtains and explores the hidden streets to shed light on life in 'Little Britain'. The exhibition reflects and captures the commonplace, mundane, touching, surreal and sometimes magical nature of everyday existence.
