Education Outreach at Orleans House Gallery

Through our innovative and award-winning arts programes and projects, we target those excluded from mainstream social and educational opportunities.

Alternative education

We provide Art & Design GCSE, Bronze and Silver Arts Awards and the AQA Unit Awards Scheme. These options allow young people a more flexible way of learning based on individual interests. Qualifications can be delivered through a range of courses, after school clubs and projects with schools, designed to help young people achieve their full creative potential.

Work-based learning

The gallery offers work-based learning and volunteer opportunities for all ages. We welcome applications for short-term placements, extended work experience and internships.

Projects

We create opportunities for young people to experience the arts through a broad range of projects. Recent projects include What We Say Matters, an animated film made by young people about Richmond borough’s Children’s Plan and acclaimed Culture Vultures photographic project. This year sees the culmination of our comic art project and the return of our established Larkin’ About youth theatre project, which takes place in Whitton.
