Fill your holidays with creativity! Visit the Gallery exhibitions and work with professional artists specialising in a range of different art-forms from drawing, painting and print-making to sculpture and textiles. See below for booking information.

Painting and Texture Workshop for Children and Young People with Disabilities

£10.00 per person. Materials included.

Friday 16 April in the Coach House:

  • 10am - 12pm Ages 8 - 13
  • 2pm - 4pm Ages 13 - 19

Siblings and friends are welcome to come along too!

Easter Bunny in the Woods

Wednesday 8 April 2010, 2pm - 3.30pm

Suitable for children under 8 years.

£8 per child. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

The Easter Bunny returns for his annual chase around the woods of Orleans House Gallery.

Come and join in the Easter fun, take part in an Easter art activity and help catch the Easter Bunny in the woods.

5 - 9 years

Take a Journey – Tuesday 6 April, 10am – 3pm

Travel into your imagination with artist Heather Martin.  Screen and monoprint postcards of the things you see and display them in a mixed media picture frame.

Inspired by Painting – Wednesday 7 April, 10am - 3pm

Work with artist Dawn Smithers to make fantastical mobiles inspired by objects in the exhibition paintings.

It’s a Dog’s Life (and other pets) – Wednesday 14 April, 10am – 3pm

Work with artist Imogen Luddy to create a fantasy dog's kennel.  Decorative, multi-functional or just plain crazy - design and make a miniature kennel.

Poetry and Magic – Thursday 15 April, 10am – 3pm

Use collage and printing techniques with artist Megan Dowsett to create a three-page story that reveals the surprising or horrible effects of a magic spell.

9 - 14 years

Take a Journey – Tuesday 6 April, 10am – 3pm

Work with artist Megan Dowsett to use collage, inks and pop-up to create imaginary cities inspired by architecture from around the world.

Inspired by Painting – Wednesday 7 April, 10am - 3pm

Explore the themes of collections and self portraiture with artist Bessie Turner by constructing portraits from collections of objectsIt’s a Dog’s Life (and other pets) – Wednesday 14 April, 10am – 3pm

Work with artist Dawn Smithers to create a several-coloured screen print image of your pet on a canvas bag.

Poetry and Magic – Thursday 15 April, 10am – 3pm

Work with artist Louise Bourns to explore poetry and magic in paintings and design. Visit the gallery, play with words and images and try your hand at illustrating.

Landscape Workshop 5 - 9 years

£10.00 per person. Materials included.

Look at the landscape paintings in the exhibition before returning to the workshop to build convincing painted landscapes using watercolours and diluted inks.
