Richmond upon Thames Literature Festival
A fantastic festival of books and words, tales, talks, ideas and thoughts
The 21st annual Richmond upon Thames Literature Festival ran from the 1 – 30 November featuring a wide range of authors, commentators and leading figures from politics, journalism, sport, theatre and television, including Andrew Marr, Jack Straw and Prue Leith set among prestigious heritage locations including galleries, arts centre’s and universities across the borough.
The festival also featured a strong programme for children and young people including events with Emma Chichester Clark, the legendary Judith Kerr, as well as workshops with Nicholas Allan author of The Queens Knickers and Eileen Browne.
The Literary Salon
Our pop up shop on Twickenham High Street provided a stage for some of the most exciting live literature events for all ages, including podcasting workshops, tea, cake and storytelling, poetry and performances from renowned spoken word artists including Martin Figura, Byron Vincent, Inua Ellams and Jacob Sam-La Rose. The Literary Salon was supported by Arts Council England.
