Housing Services service delivery and performance
Housing Services provide a range of services that help people to find a place to live and to maintain a suitable and healthy home. Our Customer Service standards set out what services we provide and the standard of service customers should expect to receive.
A number of independent organisations have inspected Housing Services and found that we provide good quality, customer focused services. These include:
- The Audit Commission carried out a Best Value Inspection in 2002 and rated Housing Services as a good 2 star service, with promising prospects for improvement
- Charter Mark was awarded to the Residential team and the Health Development team in 2002. The entire Housing Service is however scheduled for a Charter Mark assessment in January 2006.
- The Audit Commission carried out a pathfinder inspection of the Supporting People programme
(pdf, 647KB) in 2003 which was reassessed in 2004. The programme was awarded a good 2 star service, with promising prospects for improvement. - Investors In People was awarded to Housing Services in 2004. The Investors In People award demonstrates Housing Services’ commitment to developing staff.
