What is Housing and Council Tax benefit?

If you are living on a low wage, or receive Income Support or any other benefit, you may be able to get help with your rent and Council Tax payments.

Please note that it is still possible to get a reduction in your Council Tax bill without claiming or being eligible for Council Tax Benefit. Please see our Council Tax discounts page for details of exemptions, discounts and disregards.
