Help completing the application form

If you need help filling in the application form, please come to the Civic Centre and we will assist you. A duty officer will be available to assist you from 9 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday, apart from on Wednesday when we cannot see you in person.

The application form asks for detailed information about your personal circumstances - your housing needs, your welfare and medical needs, your financial situation as well as those of other members of your household, and your current housing situation. This information will be used to assess your application.

If you are in immediate need of housing

If you are in immediate need of housing, it is advisable to contact the Housing Advice & Assessment Team to discuss your circumstances.  They may be able to act on your behalf to prevent you from losing your current accommodation and provide you with information about various forms of housing assistance, for instance housing benefits.
