What are LINKs?
Most of us will at some time in our lives need health or social care services. Provided by our local hospital, doctor, or council. It is your right to have a say how these services are delivered.
The new Local Involvement Networks (LINks) will give you a strong voice to shape local Health and Social Care services.
What will they do?
The LINk will be a network of people and organisations in Richmond who want to make sure local services improve. The LINK will:
- Obtain the views of people about their experiences of the health and social care they receive
- Monitor how services are provided and designed
- Ask for information about services from the NHS, Primary Care Trust, Local Authority and Care Providers
- Write reports about services which have to be responded to
- Examine some services and premises to see if they are up to standard
We want you to get involved
It doesn’t matter if you an individual or an organisation, anyone can get involved with LINKs for example:
individuals, user and carer, older peoples forums, ethnic groups, youth groups, patients groups, voluntary organisations and neighbourhood groups.
Register your interest
A number of people are already involved in the formation of Richmond’s LINK, but we want as many different people and groups as possible to get involved.
