Family support

All children referred to Social Services are assessed by the Initial Response Team. If we believe a child or family needs support from a social worker for more than a few months, we will refer them to the Family Support Team.

All children and families referred to the Family Support Team will be allocated a social worker. The social worker will be responsible for making sure the child's health, education and social needs are being supported.

You may be referred to other organisations or professionals who can help with specific needs, or we may offer you support through one of our Family Support Centres - there is one in Twickenham and one in Mortlake.
