Domestic abuse support

Within Richmond Upon Thames there are several agencies that support people who are experiencing domestic abuse.

One stop shop

If you are experiencing domestic abuse, confidential advice and support is available from the agencies listed below as well as a weekly one stop shop.

Agencies within Richmond upon Thames

For Police assistance with domestic abuse, please visit the Richmond Police Community Safety Unit website or telephone 020 8247 5809.

Support relating to violent crime linked to domestic abuse, please visit Richmond's Victim Support website or telephone 020 8948 7010.

If you are concerned that a child is being abused, please visit Richmond's Social Services Initial Response Team or telephone 020 8891 7969 (office hours 9:00am to 5:15pm Monday-Thursday, 9:00am-5:00pm Friday).

Outside of office hours please telephone the emergency Out of Hours Team on 020 8744 2442.

Information and advice on keeping safe, can be found on the Refuge website or telephone 0808 2000 247. Richmond residents can contact Refuge Floating Support by telephone on 020 8742 7745.

Agencies outside Richmond upon Thames

The 24 hour National Domestic Violence Helpline on 0808 2000 247 is a member of Language Line and can provide access to an interpreter for non-English speaking callers. The helpline can also access the BT Type Talk Service. Calls are always confidential.
