There are several stages to the adoption process. A more detailed description of each stage is included in the adoption information pack we will send you when you make an initial enquiry. Your social worker will support you throughout the adoption process and explain what happens at every stage.

6) Placement of children

• Child/children placed

7) Adoption

• Adoption application lodged
• Reports prepared
• Court hearing

8 ) Adoption Order granted
