Support from Social Services

You may be able to get help for the person you care for from Social Services, but only if they agree and they meet our eligibility criteria. Examples of the type of help include:

• Care and support in the home for older people
• Care and support in the home for the physically disabled
• Meals on wheels
• Day care
• Adaptations to the home
• 24 hour emergency alarm system - Careline

Support for carers

As a carer you may be able to get help with:

• Care for the person you look after while you take a break or holiday
• Finding support groups and organisations
• Helping you to get advice on benefits
