What is the Richmond Community Partnership?
The Richmond Community Partnership consists of Age Concern Richmond upon Thames, the Local Pension Service and Adult and Community Services working together. We provide a benefits advice service and a signposting service to organisations that may help you. We are very successful last year we helped Richmond to claim a total of £1.2 million in additional benefits. Without our help, many of these people would not even have known that they were entitled to extra money.
What Service do you provide?
We provide a welfare benefits service. We make sure residents are not missing out on any of the benefits that they should be getting. If we identify a benefit(s) that you are entitled to, we will complete the claim forms for you. We can also put you in touch with other services and organisations that may be help you in other ways.
Who do you help?
We help all adults who live within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.

We mainly provide a home visiting service or you can come along to one of our Information Points. We have one at the Civic Centre in Twickenham and another one at Mortlake Training Centre (“The Old Bakery”) in Lower Richmond Road.
What benefits can you help me to claim?
We can help you claim all types of state benefits. However, the most common ones for older people are Pension Credit, Attendance Allowance and Carer’s Allowance. For younger people, the most common benefits are Income Support and Disability Living Allowance. We also help people to claim Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit.
Can you help me in any other ways?
We work with a number of other organisations that provide services that may be useful to you. We can help identify which of these services could help you, and put you in touch with them. For example, we work with the London Fire Brigade- who can fit a smoke alarm and complete a full home fire safety check, Age Concern Richmond upon Thames’ Handyperson Service, Home Insulation, and Safety in the Home. We can also put you in touch with Adult and Community Services.
