Paying for Community Meals

What will be the cost to me?

Charges for meals are fixed by the Richmond Council each year. Charges from April 2007 are:

Frozen meal – delivered, £3.00 per meal
Hot meal – delivered, £3.00 per meal
If you attend a day centre where apetito provide the lunch time service, the charge for your meal will be £3.00 and you pay for the meal when you receive it

There are three methods in which to pay your account, as follows:

Cash or cheque to the driver – This is collected every Monday when the driver delivers your meal. The driver will give you a receipt immediately.
On account – apetito will issue you with a monthly statement which you can pay by cheque via post. You can also give the cheque or cash to the driver. Again, the driver will give you a receipt immediately.
3rd Party Payer – If you are unable to manage your own finances or choose not to do so, you can arrange for the monthly statements to be sent to your relative, next of kin or Power of Attorney.
