Meals service

It is vitally important that we all have nutritious meals every day to help meet our stipulated allowance of 5 fruit and vegetables a day and to maintain healthy bodies and minds.

We understand that it may have become difficult for you to cook for yourself or be able to handle complicated equipment or be able to purchase nutritional meals yourself. One way of ensuring that you have at least one nutritional meal a day is by receiving Community Meals (formally known as Meals on Wheels). Meals are delivered by a provider called apetito, directly to your home. apetito has been vetted and approved by the Council.

In order to start receiving Community Meals, you will need to find out if you meet the criteria and are therefore eligible to have meals delivered to you. If you are interested in receiving meals, please contact contact Adult and Community Social Services.
