Intensive day centres

Intensive day centres are specialist facilities for people who need long term therapy or support, rehabilitation or recuperation, either for dementia or for physical disability or frailty.

The intensive day centres are run by the Council and the Richmond and Twickenham Primary Care Trust. To attend an intensive day centre you will need to be assessed and referred by a social care or health care professional, such as your doctor or care manager.

If you think you could benefit from an intensive day centre, please contact Adult and Community Social Services and ask about a care assessment.

The four intensive day centres are:

  • Twickenham Intensive Day Centre
  • Sheen Intensive Day Centre
  • Ham Intensive Day Centre – for older people with dementia
  • Tangley Hall Intensive Day Centre – for older people with dementia
