Handypersons Scheme

The Handypersons Scheme was introduced in November 2002. The handyperson will undertake small household jobs in the homes of people over 60 and people with a disability.

A handyperson will assist wtih practical job that can completed within a two hour period such as:

  • Repairing a curtain rail
  • Replacing broken light switches
  • Fitting new or replacement locks
  • Changing tap washers
  • Changing a light bulb if you are not confident on a pair of steps
  • Putting up a shelf if would help clear your floor place

All at minimal cost.

The project is a partnership between Age Concern Richmond Council, Hastoe Housing Association, Help the Aged’s Handy Van scheme, and Richmond Parish Lands Charity.
