How do I ask for help?
You can ring 020 8891 7971 and speak to one of our specially trained staff. They may be able to offer you the information or advice you need straight away. If required, they will ask you details about the problems you are experiencing and will conduct what we call a contact assessment. Depending on your particular situation, a further more specialist assessment might be required (eg. From an Occupational Therapist, a District Nurse or a Social Worker). In which case some one from your local team will contact you to arrange to see you in your own home. This will be done as quickly as possible but will done in order of priority.
Do I have to pay for services?
You do not have to pay for assessment, advice or information but you might have to pay for some other help we provide. If you do we will ask you to fill in a financial assessment form). We will use this to assess your financial situation and make a decision as to whether you have to pay and if so, how much.
