Create your own helix the hedgehog
You will need:
- A large 500g yoghurt pot (empty and washed out)
- 2 large old brown envelope (turn inside out if there is writing on them)
- A black button
- An egg box
- Cereal packet card or something similar
- 2 small white round stickers
- Glue
- Black felt pen
- Scissors.
Step 1) Cut the envelope down one side and along the bottom so it opens out into one big piece of paper.
Step 2) Wrap the outside of the yoghurt pot with the envelope tightly secure with sellotape or glue.
Step 3) Cut out a section of the egg box big enough to hold two eggs, trim down the sections where the eyes will be this should leave a long nose section.
Step 4) To complete the face glue the button to the end of the nose mark two black dots in the stickers and stick inside the egg box to make eyes.
Step 5) Cut the other envelope open in the same way as before then cut it into strips about 6cm wide along the longest side of the envelope.
Step 6) Cut a fringe 3cm into each strip at intervals of about half a cm.
Step 7) Wrap this around the covered yoghurt pot to create the effect of spines and glue in place.
Step 8) Draw and cut out feet from the cereal packet and glue underneath.
Step 9) Glue the hedgehog egg box face to the small end of the yoghurt pot.
Step 10) Place your hand inside the yoghurt pot and there’s your very own puppet!
