Give and Take Day

The Council has limited funding to be spent by March 2009 allocated for local community groups, schools or any type of local organisation that wishes to hold a Give and Take Day event in the borough.

Advice and support for anyone interested in running this type of event is also available from the Council and online, Give and Take Toolkit.

Give and Take Days are a brilliant way of encouraging reuse of peoples unwanted items within the local community. No money changes hands and items that otherwise would have ended up in landfill find a new home. It's a chance to clear out good condition items that you no longer use and pick up something else you need.

Once we have information of any Give and Take Days being held in the borough they will be advertised here.

Please make use of the local Richmond upon Thames Freecycle group as another way of passing on and receiving second hand items locally and without exchange of money.
