Volunteer - join ZWIN
Do you have an interest in environmental issues? Want to learn new skills - and have a few hours spare a week? Then why not join ZWIN - the Zero Waste Initiative Team!
What is ZWIN?
ZWIN is an environmental project, run by the Richmond Environment Network (REN). It is funded by a National Lottery Award. ZWIN encourage churches and schools in the borough of Richmond upon Thames to minimise the impact of their operations on the environment.
This is achieved by carrying out a free initial environmental assessment of premises and operations, followed by a confidential report which enables the set up of new policies designed to reduce waste, increase energy efficiency and recycling on a regular basis, whilst at the same time reducing its cost.
Training
Volunteers receive special training in environmental auditing and report writing before taking part in this project. Registration is now taking place and training is free.
