Commercial waste charges for Townmead Road
Green waste
£55 per tonne with a minimum charge of £10.To qualify for this reduction site users must comply with the following rules:
- Users must inform the weighbridge operator before weighing in.
- The waste must be 100% green with no other materials mixed in.
- The green Waste Bay only must be used. No other waste is to be taken to other parts of the site unless users have weighed out and back in again.
- Failure to comply with any of these rules will result in users being charged at the full rate of £150 per tonne.
Scrap metal, cardboard and paper
These materials may be deposited at the rate of £55 per tonne with a minimum charge of £10 provided users have complied with the following rules:
- Users must inform the weighbridge operator before weighing in.
- All cardboard, as far as practicable, must be flat packed with no polystyrene packing.
- Paper must not contain any plastic coatings or packaging and must be removed from files or boxes.
- Scrap metal will only be accepted if it is100% recyclable.
- Users can only deposit the recycling materials in the appropriate area as designated by the site supervisor/weighbridge operator.
- Failure to comply with any of these rules will result in users being charged at the full rate of £150 per tonne.
Rubble
These materials may be deposited at the rate of £55 per tonne with a minimum charge of £10 provided users have complied with the following rules:
- Users must inform the weighbridge operator before weighing in.
- Only clean rubble with no bags, wood, plaster etc mixed in.
- You must not cross contaminate the rubble with soil
- The inert bay must only be used. No other waste is to be taken to other parts of the site unless users have weighed out and back in again.
- Failure to comply with any of these rules will result in users being charged at the full rate of £150 per tonne.
Hazardous waste and difficult waste
We are no longer allowed to accept the following waste from Traders at this facility:
- All types of fridges/freezers – including (household types)
- Televisions and computer monitors
- Fluorescent tubes
- Wood containing dangerous substances
- Chemicals such as paint, pesticides solvents
- Waste engine oil
- Lead acid batteries
- Tyres
- All types of asbestos
