Commercial waste and recycling

Mission Statement

Our aim is to be the cleanest and greenest borough in London. We are committed to helping business owners dispose of their waste with an excellent, reliable and personalised service. We provide a recycling and waste service to encourage our customers to manage their waste responsibly and help us to protect our environment.

Important notice to all businesses

As a business you have to comply with your Duty of Care to use a licensed waste carrier under Section 34 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, as well as the latest waste regulations such as the Pre Treatment Directive 2007(pdf, 1050KB). Please note that recycling is a form of pre treatment of waste.

Our services

We offer a commercial waste and recycling collection service for all business in the Borough however large or small. Collections can be arranged on a daily to weekly basis depending on your needs.

General waste service

Our Waste collection scheme runs 7 days a week. Every day we have three rounds that cover the whole Borough except for Saturday and Sunday in which we run just one round.

All the collections are made between 6am and 2pm, unless specified. We can also cater for multiple collections. Please note that we cannot make any collections of excess waste or recycling.

Please note that the commercial waste sacks are white.

What is Excess?

Excess is any waste or recycling which is not contained within the given receptacle. Excess waste or recycling will not be collected at any stage and will be charged at the current general waste rate.

Please note that the bin lid should be able to fully close and lie flat.

Recycling service

We offer two types of recycling collection:

• Mixed paper/card collections
• Mixed glass collections

Our Recycling collection scheme runs 5 days a week. Every day we have one round for mixed paper/card collections and one round for mixed glass collections which cover the whole Borough.

All the collections are made between 6am and 2pm.

Please note that the commercial recycling sacks are clear.

Once you become a live commercial recycling customer you will be entitled to a free Commercial Recycling certificate(pdf, 711KB).
