Tips for commercial recycling

There are many private organisations who offer commercial recycling collections for a wide variety of materials and operate in and around the Borough. Details of some of these organisations can be found below.

Donate unwanted materials to the Council run community re-use schemes
The Council runs two community re-use schemes which provide free resources to schools, colleges, community groups and people who would not otherwise be able to afford them. If you are a local business and are able to donate unwanted paint or materials that could be used in scrap art projects please contact us. More information can be found at:

Donate unwanted office furniture for community re-use
Green works is a non profit charity who specialise in passing on vast quantities of quality office furniture at very low cost to charities, schools, community groups and even start-up businesses. Everything from desks and filing cabinets to conference tables and chairs, pedestals, coat-stands, notice boards and stationery are accepted.
