Reporting a smoky vehicle

Please contact the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (formerly the Vehicle Inspectorate) on 0870 606 0440

You will need to tell them

• The smoky vehicles registrations number
• The date and time you saw the smoky vehicle
• The location of where you saw the smoky vehicle
• A description of the vehicle including which type of vehicle it was (i.e. car, bus) or any other identifying features, such as a company name
• Your name and address
