Unitary Development Plan (UDP)
The Unitary Development Plan sets out the Council’s proposals for the development and other use of land including measures for the improvement of the physical environment for the next 10 years or so. It has strategic and local policies, and in Chapter 12 strategies and proposals for specific areas.
- The Borough-wide policies are included in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames Unitary Development Plan. The First Review was adopted on 1 March 2005. Both the Written Statement and the Proposals Map are available as an online version.
- The Council agreed revisions to the parking standards
(pdf, 44KB) as Interim planning policy in July 2005 - The Council published a UDP/LDF Annual Monitoring Report in September 2004 and December 2005.
- Supplementary Planning Guidance has been produced to further explain some UDP policies.
Work on the Local Development Framework
(pdf, 662KB), introduced by the new planning system, is underway.
How to get copies of the Unitary Development Plan
Hard copies of the Unitary Development Plan statement and proposals map can be collected in person from the Civic Centre, York Street, Twickenham.
