LDF/UDP Annual Monitoring Report

Local authorities are required to produce a monitoring report and submit it to the Secretary of State in December each year. It provides information on progress with the Local Development Framework and on the effectiveness of UDP policies during the past financial year as well as monitoring sustainability appraisal indicators.

The latest Annual Monitoring Report (2006/07)(pdf, 1626KB) was submitted in December 2007.

5 Year Housing Land Supply 2008-2013

All Local Planning Authorities in England are now required through Planning Policy Statement 3: Housing (Para. 60) that they must undertake work to establish whether or not a Five-Year Housing Land Supply exists in their area. This assessment has been undertaken for the borough(pdf, 286KB). The assessment demonstrates that there is a five year supply of deliverable land for housing. The assessment will be updated annually as part of the Annual Monitoring Report.
