The Bus

The bus the youth café project is for young people aged 13-19. based aboard a specially customised double decker bus, this is a place designed specifically with young people in mind you can meet up with old friends, make some new ones, get involved in workshops from graffiti to music production, or just come and hang out.

The bus is also a place which offers access to information and support on issues such as lifestyle, school and careers to name but a few. We also offer information and support on issues such as sex, drugs and relationships, as well as providing free condoms where and when appropriate.

The bus is also home to an onboard café, which sells both hot, and cold drinks, and snacks at a low cost.

The bus exists because there are areas of the borough without dedicated youth clubs, centres or projects. The bus’s mobility, allows us to provide these important services to those who would otherwise miss out. Young people can choose what we do and how we spend our time. We welcome new ideas for activities, or workshops which may not already be included, but may be of interest to you.

On the bus you can be expected to be treated with respect by others and others should expect the same from you. We maintain a friendly environment here and everybody is welcome.
