Unsuccessful applications

If your application is unsuccessful and you disagree with the process or the outcome, you must appeal in writing, stating your case within four weeks from the date of notification.

Appeal process

The process and a final decision will conclude within 14 days from the date the appeal is received.

The appeal will be heard by a panel of professionals to explore the rationale of the youth panel’s decision using the revised guidance for Youth Capital Fund.

If the professional panel upholds the appeal - The appeal will be heard by a different group of young people who will consider the initial application and make a decision. This decision will be final.

If the professional panel does not uphold the appeal, the reason will be put in writing to the group who appealed and the decision will be final.
