We offer an advice and support service as a teaching support resource.

Booklists

Fiction or non-fiction booklists on different age groups and abilities can be requested.

Book Week

We can help by:

• Suggesting authors or storytellers
• Sending librarians to do storytelling or special sessions
• Lending stock to contribute to your theme
• Providing book posters

INSET

Annual INSET sessions on different aspects of books and libraries are held or you can ask for a special INSET session just for your school.

Developing your school library

Our service can develop your school library by:

• Organising the stock more effectively
• Recommending ways of managing your resources, e.g. automated systems
• Keeping you in touch with library developments
• Withdrawing out-of-date material and suggesting new titles
