Children's centres

Children's centres will offer a variety of services for parents and children.

Schools and colleges

The nursery, primary, secondary and special schools in the Borough. Including term dates, admissions, school meals GSCE results, Special Educational Needs and school finance. Building Schools for the Future and the Academies programme.

Consultation on primary school expansions

We are now consulting on its Primary School Expansions Strategy. This will provide additional school places, on a permanent basis, to help meet forecast demand.

Early years education and childcare

The Family Information Service (FIS), Search for Nurseries, Creches, Playgroups and Childminders, and training workshops

Further and adult education

Teacher recruitment

Newly Qualified Teachers and returners to teaching.

Youth support

Integrated working

Integrated working enables everyone supporting children and young people to work together effectively. Information and resources for practitioners.

Apprenticeships

Way to Work provides guidance, recruitment and apprenticeships for young people aged over 16 and for employers.
