About Electoral Services
The Electoral Services Office is responsible for borough-wide "Electoral Roll" registration and for administering all elections and referenda within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. We also assist with the review and implementation of Local and Parliamentary Boundary changes.
Our aim is to give every eligible resident in the Borough an opportunity to have their say at local, national and European elections and referenda, providing advice to all residents about their right to vote. We canvass every household on a yearly basis to compile an accurate register of electors.
The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames is divided into two constituencies, Twickenham and Richmond Park. Richmond Park constituency also takes in some parts of Kingston. These constituencies are represented by 2 Members of Parliament elected in General Elections, the last being held on 5 May 2005. Information about our MPs can be found on the Parliament information page.
The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames is divided into 18 wards, each represented by 3 local councillors. These councillors are elected every four years in Local Elections, the last one being held on 4 May 2006. See our Who are my councillors page for a complete list of councillors and their details.
If you are unsure about which ward your property is in, please use our ward finder, which will show you not only your ward, but also your MP, your councillors and your local polling station.
