The theatre skills of young people in the borough were showcased at the 'South West Side Story' performance at the Council-run Powerstation Youth Club last week.

"Outskirts", the borough’s first magazine to be written by young people for their peers, has received a boost thanks to the Jack Petchey Foundation.

The annual festival of outdoor children’s theatre, Larks in the Parks, kicked off this week with an exciting performance in the grounds of Orleans House Gallery.

Changes to recycling services

The Council is proposing to make a change to the recycling service from November 2008. Following customer feedback we want to improve the service, making it more efficient and simpler for everyone. All households (except those in blocks of flats or flats above shops) will be given a new blue box for mixed paper and card. Other recyclable materials will continue to be collected from the black box. No change will be made to collection days. For more details follow this link.

Marble Hill Event Day Controlled Parking Zone

The concert at Marble Hill Park takes place on Saturday 23 August and Sunday 24 August 2008. The Council will operate the Event Day CPZ on these days between the hours of 5.30pm and 8pm in all roads within zones F and S.
