Mayor of the Borough

A Mayor and Deputy Mayor of the Borough are elected every May, to represent the Council at civic functions and raise money for local good causes.

The current Mayor is Councillor Jane Boulton, and the current Deputy Mayor is Councillor Peter Buckwell.

About the Mayor

Councillor Jane Boulton is a lifelong resident of our Borough and has lived in Hampton and Teddington. She has one son and is married to fellow councillor, David Marlow.

Councillor Boulton had her own hairdressing salon and latterly a wool shop and haberdashery in Hampton Hill. In her spare time, her hobbies include supporting local theatre and ballroom dancing. She also takes a very keen interest in arts and crafts.

Councillor Boulton has also served in public office. She was elected as a councillor for Twickenham Riverside ward for 2002 to 2006 and was the Cabinet Member for Social Services, Housing and Health from 2004 to 2006. She has also been a school governor at Waldegrave School and Stanley Road Infant School.

Councillor Boulton was elected as a Councillor for West Twickenham Ward in May 2014. She served as Mayoress during 2010/2011.

Mayor’s Consort

The Mayor’s Consort is Councillor David Marlow.

Mayor’s Chaplain

The Mayor’s Chaplain is The Rev’d. Jeffrey Hopkin Williams, Vicar of St Mary’s Church Twickenham.
