Diamond Jubilee Street Parties

Street parties and road closures for the Diamond Jubilee - to allow for 208 road closures across the borough on dates between Friday 1 June and Tuesday 5 June 2012, to allow residents to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (1)

Temporary overnight road closures
Manor Road, Richmond

25 to 29 June 2012

1.The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate essential level crossing maintenance works to railway tracks they intend to make a temporary Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a series of overnight road closures in Manor Road, Richmond.

2.Whilst the works take place no person may permit a vehicle to proceed across the level crossing in Manor Road when relevant signs and/or cones are placed.

3.Whilst Manor Road, Richmond is closed, an alternative route for northbound traffic will be Upper Richmond Road West, A205 Clifford Avenue and Lower Richmond Road.  An alternative route for southbound traffic will be as above but in the reverse direction.

4.The order will come into effect at midnight on 25 June 2012.  The works are anticipated to be in progress for a period of 4 overnight periods between 11.55pm and 6am, ending at 6am on 29 June 2012 according to the following timetable. The order will remain in force for a period of 6 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

5.The prohibitions will apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

6.Nothing in the Order will apply to:

(a)any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b)anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a traffic warden.

7.Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
