Needs analysis

To develop our understanding of need, we have used a wide range of different information - including demographic data; performance information; information from inspections and surveys; and feedback from wide-ranging and ongoing consultations with children, young people, families and residents.

Understanding need is very important as it enables the Children and Young People’s Trust Board to, determine what the priorities of the Children and Young People’s Trust are and make decisions about what services should be commissioned or decommissioned.  

The needs analysis pulls together all of the information and performance data we have about children and young people in the Borough. It is presented against each individual commitment from the plan; this will help service areas understand their particular needs.

The needs analysis(pdf, 602KB) is a ‘live document’ and is expected to be used as a resource to support the Children and Young People’s Trust; it will be updated on a regular basis.
