The Cycling Events – The Routes
The men’s and women’s road races and time trials will hit the streets of Richmond upon Thames in the summer of 2012. On Saturday 28 July the men’s race will take to the streets of London starting at The Mall. Riders will make their way through to Richmond Park via Putney Bridge and then they will head through Twickenham and Teddington on route to Hampton Court.
The riders will then cross Hampton Court Bridge and head out to Surrey and Box Hill for nine laps. They will then head back into central London.
On Sunday 29 July the women will do the same route but with only two Box Hill circuits.

The time trials for the men and women’s races will start at Hampton Court Palace on 1 August. It is a shorter route and locally will travel through Bushy Park, Teddington and Hampton, finishing at Hampton Court Palace Road.
