Children and Young People's Strategic Partnership (CYPSP)

Our aims

• To protect children and young people from harm by promoting and safeguarding their health and welfare (ECM (Every Child Matters) outcome = Be healthy and be safe)
• To provide a safe and stable environment for all children and young people to live in Richmond (ECM outcome = Be safe)
• To ensure that children and young people attain their full potential through education, training and leisure opportunities (ECM outcome = enjoy and achieve)
• To ensure that children and young people are able to make a valuable contribution to the community and society within which they live and participate (ECM outcome = Make a positive contribution)
• To value diversity and prevent children and young people experiencing social exclusion by assisting them to achieve economic wellbeing (ECM outcome = Achieve economic wellbeing)

What we've achieved so far

As part of the 2006 performance assessment of services for children and young people, the Council was awarded the following grades for the five Every Child Matters outcomes (where 4 is the highest on a 4 point scale)
