What should I do if I have moved in to a new address in the borough?

Let us know online or contact the Revenues and Benefits office by telephone, fax or email. See the Council Tax contact page for details.

We will need the following information:

• The name of all of the joint tenants or joint owners who will be living in the property.
• The date that your tenancy starts or the day that you complete the purchase of the property.
• The date that you move in (if different).
• If you are renting the property, please also confirm the name of the owner or agent that you are renting from.
• Your previous address if it was in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.

If you are moving from one property in the borough to another, please complete our Council Tax moving out form. On completion you will be taken to the the Council tax moving in form.

If you are moving to a borough property from outside the borough, you only need to complete the Council tax moving in form.

We will need the following information:

• The names of all those shown on the bill who are moving out
• The date that you are moving
• The date of the end of your tenancy or the completion date of the sale
• Your forwarding address
• The name of the owner/agent if you were renting the property OR
• The name of the new owner of the property

If there is a gap between the date that you move out and the end of your tenancy or the completion of your sale, please say whether there will be any furniture in the property.
